UCR School of Medicine - Internal Medicine – Chief Resident
The Division of Clinical Sciences at the University of California, Riverside, is recruiting a Chief Resident within the Department of Internal Medicine. We seek an individual who has distinguished themselves by embodying exceptional clinical & leadership skills, demonstrated over the course of their residency training, and is respected for their clinical judgment, teaching skills, and ability to work collaboratively with peers and faculty. The Chief Resident serves as a role-model, peer mentor, and advocate for the Internal Medicine residents. The successful candidate will teach at both the UC Riverside-affiliated hospital in San Bernardino and the UCR Health Clinic in Riverside and will see patients in conjunction with residents at the aforenamed clinic. The UC Riverside Internal Medicine Residency Program seeks to provide high quality medical care to underserved populations who suffer from limited medical access and other social determinants of health in the Inland Empire region of Southern California. The residency sponsors both a preliminary medicine program having 10 interns, and a categorical medicine training program with 45 residents. The residency program offers inpatient training at an urban tertiary medical center and at a rural critical access hospital; outpatient education is offered at Veterans Affairs outpatient clinics and a UCR Health Clinic in downtown Riverside that cares for a diverse patient population.
