Position Overview
We are seeking a dependable, compassionate, and motivated Medical Assistant (M.A.) to join our family medicine team full-time.
The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with patients of all ages—from pediatrics to adults and seniors. Family medicine or primary care experience is preferred, but we are willing to train a motivated candidate who is eager to build a long-term career in healthcare.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist the provider during visits
- Take and document vital signs and medical histories
- Administer injections, vaccines, and medications as directed
- Perform basic laboratory procedures and specimen collection
- Maintain accurate documentation within the EMR system
- Provide patient education and follow-up instructions
- Ensure exam rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for patient care
- Maintain strict HIPAA compliance at all times
- Support front office staff when needed to maintain efficient patient flow
Qualifications
- Medical Assistant certification preferred
- Family medicine or primary care experience preferred
- Experience with eClinicalWorks (eCW) or other EMR systems is a plus
- Strong clinical documentation skills
- Excellent communication and patient care skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced medical environment
- Professional, compassionate, and team-oriented attitude
- Willingness to learn and grow within the practice
