PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT

Part Time/ Per Diem Physician Assistant - Immediate Opening

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Engages in direct patient Care and provide tasks traditionally provided by MD'S and/or PA'S.
  • Performs Physical, Mental Status and Medical History Examinations; makes records of findings subsequently reviewed and countersigned by supervising physician
  • Orders and interprets Laboratory Studies/Examinations to determine treatment, orders medication and other forms of treatment as ordered by the Physician
  • Follows Patient Progress and makes changes in treatment as necessary
  • Applies local anesthetic, examines and cleans wounds, incises and drains abscesses and sutures
  • Calls client representatives following employee treatment for initial injury or return to work status
  • Maintain professional communications by attending all required meetings, conference calls and responding to email, telephone or written communication in a timely manne

Demonstrated Urgent Care Related Skills / Competencies:

  • Work experience in Urgent Care, minimum 2-3 years
  • Superior customer services and "Bed side manner" skills
  • Organized, Intelligent and Professional
  • Critical Thinking, deductive reasoning and decision making skills
  • Able to work independently and able to cover PM and Weekend Shifts
  • EHR Skilled

Education / Credentials:

  • Current DEA License
  • Current California Physician Assistant License
  • DOT Certified
  • Spanish is a plus!
  • HMO / IPA Credentialing is a plus
  • Competitive & Based on Experience

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: $70.00 - $75.00 per hour

  • Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

  • EMR systems: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • PA-C (Preferred)
  • Physician Assistant License (Preferred)
