Responsibilities:
- Conducting physical examinations and developmental assessments for pediatric patients.
- Diagnosing and treating common childhood illnesses and injuries.
- Administering vaccinations and providing immunization counseling.
- Collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans.
- Educating patients and their families about preventive healthcare practices and disease management.
- Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, such as blood work and imaging studies.
- Providing counseling and support for pediatric patients and their families regarding health concerns and lifestyle modifications.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation.
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities to enhance clinical practice and patient care.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Nursing with specialization as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner.
- Current state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner with prescriptive authority.
- Certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (CPNP) from a nationally recognized certifying body (e.g., PNCB, ANCC).
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner.
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills, with the ability to formulate differential diagnoses and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport and collaborate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and computer literacy.
