The Division of Clinical Sciences at the University of California, Riverside is recruiting faculty members in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. The successful applicant must qualify for an academic appointment in Professor of Clinical X or Health Sciences Clinical Professor series at the Clinical Instructor, Assistant, Associate or Full professor rank. We seek clinical educators to participate in part-time and/or full-time inpatient and outpatient clinical practice in General Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Gynecologic Oncology. These positions offer excellent opportunities for teaching and pursuing a career in academic medicine with time dedicated to teaching and scholarly activity. The successful candidates will practice at UC Riverside School of Medicine affiliated hospitals in Riverside and surrounding areas.

The successful candidate must qualify for an academic appointment in Professor of Clinical X or Health Sciences Clinical Professor series at the Instructor, Assistant, Associate, or Full professor rank. Academic rank will be determined based on qualifications and experience with advancement through a series of structured, merit-based evaluations, occurring every 2-3 years, each of which includes substantial peer input.

Basic qualifications
M.D. or D.O. degree, or equivalent degree
Hold a full and unrestricted license from the Medical Board of California
Board Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology or eligible for certification if within 3 years of completing residency.
Qualify for medical staff privileges at UCR Health and at UCR affiliated health settings

Additional qualifications
Demonstrated experience in teaching residents and medical students

Health Sciences Clinical Instructor Rank
A successful candidate should complete a high-quality postgraduate clinical training or be accepted into a postgraduate clinical training program. Must be eligible for one of the medical specialty boards and have a clear potential as a clinical teacher. At this rank, the initial appointment is limited to one year.

Assistant, Associate and Full Professor Rank:
Successful candidates will also be expected to participate in research, scholarly activities, University and public service appropriate for the academic appointments in Professor of Clinical X or Health Sciences Clinical series.

The posted UC salary scales (Academic salaries | UCOP) set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See Table 5 for the salary range. The Base Salary range for this position is $131,200 - $344,400. This position includes membership in the Health Sciences Compensation Plan
